There is a hardened steel pin that goes thru the wedge, and into the cylinder, so it is impossible to take apart so that it can not be modified to fire real ammunition. It functions perfectly with our blank ammunition and will not fire real ammo. This Blank Firing Revolver fires our regular loud 380/9MM blanks or our quieter 380/9MM Half Load Blanks.
